Hello
Medical & Crisis Aid
Because no one should suffer alone.
The Crisis
Across South Sudan and among South Sudanese communities in the diaspora, many families are overwhelmed by crisis—whether due to illness, displacement, natural disaster, or economic hardship.
From cancer diagnoses in Australia to orphans in refugee camps, the needs are urgent and often life-threatening. Many cannot afford basic treatment, medication, or even transport to reach a hospital. And when crisis strikes, most have no financial safety net or community support.
That’s where Light Along My Path (LAMP) steps in.
Our Response
We believe the church must be present where pain is greatest. LAMP provides emergency support, pastoral care, and financial relief to individuals and families in crisis.
Our Medical & Crisis Aid program includes:

-
🙏 Prayer, counselling, and community support
💡 Stories of Impact
🧡 Bol Bul’s Story – Cancer Treatment in Perth (2019)
When our dear brother Bol Bul was diagnosed with cancer in Perth, LAMP mobilised supporters and raised over $25,000 AUD to support his treatment. Through several rounds of chemotherapy and the grace of God, he was given the best possible care and encouragement during his fight.
🧡 Debora Yar Manyuon – Breast Cancer Recovery in Kenya
Our beloved sister Debora in Nairobi was battling breast cancer and in desperate need of support. LAMP helped raise $7,000 AUD to cover her medical treatment. Today, we thank God—she is healed and strong again.
🧡 Jonglei State Flood Crisis – Emergency Relief
In response to catastrophic flooding in Jonglei State, South Sudan, LAMP raised over $45,000 AUD to supply food, blankets, and basic health items for hundreds of displaced families. Through our local partners, we helped bring hope to communities devastated by natural disaster.
