Because clean water is life.
The Need
In many rural villages across South Sudan, clean and safe drinking water is still a dream. Families—especially women and children—walk hours each day to reach water sources that are often contaminated, exposing them to serious waterborne diseases such as cholera, typhoid, and diarrhoea.
Without clean water:

Children fall ill or miss school

Mothers cannot cook, clean, or care for their families safely

Communities remain trapped in poverty, illness, and vulnerability
Access to safe water is not just a health issue—it’s a justice issue.
What We Do
At Light Along My Path (LAMP), we are building and maintaining deep-water boreholes in remote South Sudanese communities where the need is greatest.
Each borehole:

Serves up to 500 people daily

Drastically reduces disease and dehydration

Saves time and energy—especially for young girls and mothers

Creates a ripple effect of health, safety, and opportunity
We work with local leaders, landowners, and church communities to ensure that every borehole is respected, maintained, and used responsibly.
